Anne Cheshire, BA(Hons), BSc(Hons), SEP, MNIMH
Anne Cheshire is a consulting medical herbalist in Edinburgh, specialising in using the centuries-old art and science of herbal medicine to help patients restore strength and vitality, revive joy and curiosity in life, and connect with the wealth of natural resources we have around us, and with which we evolved.
She came to herbal medicine relatively late in her career, having spent many years working one-to-one with individuals in private practice. She holds a first class degree in Herbal Medicine from Lincoln University and is a member of, amongst other professional associations, the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH), on whose council she serves.
Anne is also a trauma therapist, director of the Trauma Recovery Clinic, specialising in the treatment of trauma, post traumatic stress syndrome and complex PTSD, developmental and attachment trauma, and other complex stress-related syndromes and immune system dysfunctions such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome; her rigorous training in herbal medicine complements her approach to treating mind-body responses to emotional stress and physical trauma.
Anne has also been an interpretor, and a languages teacher in comprehensive schools. She has authored two books in the educational sector.
Anne Cheshire is a member of CThA (Complementary Therapists’ Association), the SEAUK (Somatic Experiencing Association UK), and NIMH (National Institute of Medical Herbalists).
